The field is split into three $70,000 divisions with the top three horses in each heat returning for the finals on Aug. 2.

These are due in to Kim by August 15–you can send them to her via e-mail (at Trotrink@aol.com) or through regular mail to the OHHA office. This is an excellent way to promote your stable, equine-related business or talents inexpensively to all of your fellow OHHA members.

Soon this site will be revamped–featuring profiles of Ohio’s top drivers, trainers, owners, breeders, farms and horses, as well as other pertinent information. INSURANCE REMINDER
The USTA offers 24-hour accident insurance (on & off the job), for USTA licensed drivers and trainers. In addition to the insurance the USTA already offers with a paid membership ($5,000 accidental death & dismemberment and $25 weekly disability for a maximum of 26 weeks), they also offer a Voluntary Plan (24-hour accident insurance), with rates from $115 to $504.

As folks actively involved in harness racing, it’s often easy to think that “accidents always happen to the other guy,” until it happens to you. This additional insurance pays you above and beyond what your primary insurance coverage pays. This is well worth the annual cost, just in case, you’re involved in an unfortunate accident. For information, contact the van Gundy Agency at: P.O.Box 349, Normal, IL. 61761. Phone: 309-452-1156, Fax: 309-452-7500
